Scan your course
Open Prepello while you are logged into Canvas. It builds a week-by-week map of your course and pulls the pages and files into your browser's own storage. Rerun it whenever a new week lands.

Click Export week
One zip lands in your Downloads: a folder per course, this week's material inside. Drag the whole thing into your AI and ask it anything.
Two ways to take it
Pick at the moment you download. Smart is the default.
For your AI
One folder per course, with a plain README and a set of instructions written for the AI sitting at the top. You do not need to open any of it. Unzip it, drag the whole folder into Claude or ChatGPT, and ask your first question.
For you
Ordinary folders, one per week. Original filenames, files untouched, the same bytes Canvas would have handed you. For keeping, printing, or reading the normal way.
Either format goes as wide as you want: one week, a whole term, a whole course, or your entire degree in one zip.

It tells you what it could not reach.
Some things in Canvas are locked, restricted, or live inside a tool Prepello cannot read. When that happens your export says so, by name, in a list. Nothing is invented and nothing goes quietly missing.
If you cannot trust the data, none of the rest matters.
What it never does
- Never writes to Canvas. Read-only. It never posts, submits, or changes anything on your course site.
- Never asks for an account. No sign-up, no password, no email address.
- Never uploads your course content. The scan and the export both run in your browser, on your own computer. There is no server holding your files, so there is nothing to pool, leak, or train on.
- Never costs anything. No ads, no trial, nothing to buy.
- Built for prep, not answers. It puts your own course material in your hands before class. It does not write anything, answer anything, or touch what you hand in.
- Sends numbers, never content. Anonymous usage counts, so we can see which parts get used. Never your course content, and one switch in Settings turns it off. The privacy policy lists exactly what is sent.

AI keeps getting better at explaining, quizzing and drilling you on anything. Prepello's job is handing it your course, so every upgrade to the tools is an upgrade to this. And the exporter is just the start:

Who made this
Prepello was built by a university student who wanted this and could not find it. Every version gets used on a real course, in a real week, before anyone else sees it.

Questions, answered plainly
Is this allowed?
Prepello is read-only on Canvas and on your lecture recordings: it never posts, submits or changes anything. It reads the same pages, files and transcripts you can already see, on your own logged-in session, and keeps them on your own computer for your own study.
Does it work at my university?
Today it reads Learning@Griffith (Canvas), plus the Echo360 lecture service your courses link to. More campuses are next. The extension can only ever see the sites named in its permissions, and nothing else you browse.
Which AI can I use it with?
Anything that accepts files: Claude, ChatGPT, NotebookLM, or whatever arrives next. The Smart download carries its own instructions, so there is nothing to configure.
Is it really free?
Yes. No ads, no trial, no account, nothing to buy.
What does it miss?
Anything Canvas locks or hides: restricted files, some external tools. When something cannot be reached, the export names it in a list rather than leaving a quiet hole.
